Vanaways is pleased to announce the promotion of Cedric Ratnasingham to the role of Sales Director, recognising his outstanding contribution, leadership and progression within the business over the past five years. Cedric joined Vanaways as a Sales Executive and has steadily progressed through the business, most recently serving as General Sales Manager. During this time, he has played a key role in developing the sales function, supporting the growth of the team and helping drive Vanaways' continued success within the commercial vehicle market.
In his new role, Cedric will oversee the wider sales operation across Vanaways, including the Bristol Retail team, Bridgend Connect, Fleet, National Account Manager Dorian Domeradzki and the company's partnerships across the last-mile delivery and logistics sector. His responsibilities will include leading the overall sales strategy, strengthening commercial performance, improving competitiveness and identifying new opportunities for growth. He will also take on greater strategic responsibility across pricing, stock procurement, buying, supplier and manufacturer relationships, while continuing to develop partnerships that support the company's long-term ambitions.
Speaking about his new role, Cedric said: "The Sales Director role is about ensuring sales across the whole business is operating at its best. It's about keeping everyone aligned and making sure we are all moving in the same direction, while continuing to do the right thing for our customers and growing the business strategically."
Cedric originally joined Vanaways in search of a new challenge with a business that was taking a different approach to the commercial vehicle sector. His promotion to Sales Director follows five years of progression within the company, but builds on a career in the motor trade that began at the age of 14. He credits his success to years of experience, hard work and a willingness to adapt in an industry that is constantly evolving.

Reflecting on the qualities that have helped him progress, Cedric said: "The market is constantly changing, with new challenges appearing all the time, whether that's interest rate changes, vehicle recalls or wider economic pressures. Being able to adapt and think differently allows you to keep progressing when others might not be willing to change."
During his time as General Sales Manager, Cedric has focused on developing the sales team, helping individuals achieve their goals and creating a culture where people are encouraged to perform and progress. One of his proudest achievements has been seeing both the business and the people within it continue to grow.
Looking ahead, he sees the move into Sales Director as an opportunity to help shape the next stage of Vanaways' growth while remaining closely connected to the teams and customers that have contributed to the company's success.
