Bristol, UK – Vanaways is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Winstanley as its new Head of Fleet Sales, marking a significant step forward in the company’s continued national expansion and long-term fleet strategy.
Andrew joins the Bristol-based commercial vehicle specialist at a pivotal stage of growth, with a clear mandate to strengthen and scale the Fleet Sales division. His role will focus on building a high-performance, solution-led fleet operation designed to increase average deal value, deepen customer relationships and position Vanaways as a strategic fleet partner rather than a transactional broker.
Andrew brings more than a decade of leadership experience across the motor trade and large-scale field sales environments. Most recently, he spent three years in a senior new business role, where he successfully led field-based teams, developed long-term mobility packages and introduced structured, efficiency-driven sales processes. Before that, he held senior leadership responsibility, managing a large national field sales force.
His career has been built on driving productivity, improving sales efficiency and developing strong, performance-led cultures, principles he now brings to Vanaways’ growing fleet division.
Reflecting on his appointment, Andrew said:
“Vanaways is at a really exciting point in its journey. The growth trajectory, the ambition of the leadership team and the energy within the business really stood out to me from day one. It’s rare to join a company that combines entrepreneurial drive with serious scale.”
He continued:
“My focus is on building a high-performance fleet division that delivers complete solutions, not just vehicles. Today’s fleet customers are looking for more than price; they want tailored packages, mobility solutions and long-term partnerships. That’s what we’re here to build.”

Andrew’s immediate priorities include strengthening the foundations of the existing fleet team, refining internal processes and ensuring that opportunity generation scales in line with future recruitment. With plans to expand the fleet sales team over the coming year, his leadership will centre on creating the right structure, tools and performance culture to support sustainable growth.
Chris Jakeways, Director of Vanaways, commented:
“We’re delighted to welcome Andrew as our new National Fleet Manager. Andrew brings a strong track record in fleet sales and team development, and his leadership will play a key role as we accelerate our gro wth in this sector. His focus will be on supporting and upskilling our existing team of six Fleet Field Sales Executives while expanding the team to 12 by the end of the year. With Andrew driving this next phase, we’re confident in our ambition to deliver 4,000 fleet sales in 2026 and continue building momentum towards our goal of 10,000 retail and fleet vans sold within 2027.”
“Importantly, our approach to fleet is about far more than simply supplying a van. At Vanaways we work in partnership with customers, offering complete fleet solutions through a consultative approach with many of the fleet managers responsible for some of the UK’s largest fleets. Andrew’s experience will help strengthen that proposition, ensuring we continue to deliver the expertise, support and scale our fleet customers expect as we grow.”
A key element of the strategy will be enhancing Vanaways’ ability to deliver comprehensive fleet packages, including vehicle supply, livery, racking and mobility solutions, tailored to the evolving needs of corporate and public sector customers. With increasing tender activity and growing demand for EV adoption across local authorities and major fleet operators, the fleet division is positioned as a major growth driver for the business.
By introducing a structured, solution-led approach, Vanaways aims to improve revenue predictability, increase long-term customer retention and strengthen its reputation across the UK commercial vehicle market.
Commenting on the appointment, Vanaways stated that Andrew’s arrival reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to investing in experienced leadership as it scales its national fleet capability.
As Vanaways continues its upward growth trajectory, strengthening the Fleet Sales function is viewed as a critical component in delivering higher-value partnerships, long-term sustainability and continued innovation within the commercial vehicle sector.
