Vanaways Officially Opens Bridgend Hub – The First in its Nationwide 'Vanaways Connect' Network
Bridgend, South Wales – 17 November 2025 – Vanaways is proud to announce the official opening of its brand-new Bridgend Hub, the first site in its ambitious new Vanaways Connect network. This milestone marks the beginning of a nationwide rollout aimed at bringing Vanaways’ renowned scale, efficiency, and customer-first approach to a more local level.
A Strategic Move for Regional Growth
The Bridgend facility will serve as a cornerstone in the company’s regional network, enabling:
- Faster access to vehicles, advice and aftersales support for local businesses and fleet operators.
- Personalised, local service delivered by a growing team that blends new talent with experienced Vanaways staff.
- Greater flexibility and efficiency for customers across South Wales and the South West — powered by national buying strength and backed by best-in-class systems.
The hub currently operates with a team of seven — including General Manager Ross Davies — with three further additions set to join in January. As Ross explains, the team has already hit the ground running:
“The energy in this hub is incredible. We’re getting up to speed, performing well, and embedding in together. January will be the moment we really turn the dial up and hit the ground running.”
Ross, who has now been with Vanaways for four months, began by selling vans on the ground to fully understand the Vanaways way of doing things: its culture, values, processes, and systems. That hands-on approach has shaped the development of the hub and the wider Connect model.
Building a Hub With a Clear Purpose
The Bridgend Hub has been designed as an extension of the company’s Bristol headquarters — a dedicated, purely sales-focused environment built to provide fluid, consultative support to customers.
The team has been trained to go beyond first-layer conversations, using a second layer of qualifying questions to better understand each customer’s needs. This approach ensures that customers receive the right vehicle, the right advice, and the right finance options — all delivered through a genuinely consultative sales process.
Much of the early work in Bridgend has centred around:
- Getting the office set up efficiently and embedding company culture from day one.
- Familiarising the team with established processes and newly implemented systems.
- Creating an environment where knowledge is constantly shared and problems are solved collaboratively.
- Ensuring staff have the motivation, structure, and support to succeed.
The result is a tight, dynamic team that Ross describes as “fluid — constantly bouncing off each other to deliver better outcomes for customers.”
Marking a Pivotal Point in Our Journey
The opening of the Bridgend hub marks a significant point in Vanaways’ ongoing growth journey. It reflects the company’s continued investment in people, infrastructure, and technology — ensuring that every customer, wherever they are in the UK, benefits from a seamless, localised experience backed by national strength.
Serving as the operational blueprint for future Connect sites across the UK, the Bridgend Hub will provide dedicated on-the-ground support for local businesses, sole traders, and fleet operators — combining Vanaways’ national buying power with a responsive, regionally focused customer experience.
“Our Bridgend launch is a proud moment for everyone at Vanaways,” added Ross Davies. “It represents our commitment to innovation, growth and community engagement — and it’s just the beginning of what’s to come.”
Managing Director Chris Jakeways echoed this sentiment:
“The Bridgend Hub represents what Vanaways Connect is all about – being closer to our customers, understanding their needs in real time, and delivering the same great value and efficiency with even more personal service. It’s a huge step forward and a clear sign of our long-term commitment to regional growth.”
The opening also marks the first major milestone under Ross’s leadership as General Manager of Vanaways Connect. With over 14 years in the industry — including time with LCV Group (formerly Low Cost Vans) — Ross brings deep regional insight and a clear vision for how each hub will operate.
Looking Ahead – Local Presence, Nationwide Strength
The Bridgend Hub is the first of several new regional centres planned under the Vanaways Connect programme, with further locations across England and Scotland scheduled for 2026. Each new hub will be built using the learnings from Bridgend — from culture and systems to consultative selling and team structure — ensuring consistency, quality, and performance across the network.
These regional hubs will enhance Vanaways’ ability to deliver fast, personalised, technology-driven support while maintaining the efficiencies of a nationwide operation that define the brand.
