Fiat E-Ducato Tipper vs Maxus E Deliver 9 Tipper

A tipper van is a great choice for many businesses, offering a large payload and the ability to easily dump a vast amount quickly and with little effort. This has made it extremely popular for businesses that deal with a lot of loose aggregates or other materials that are sturdy enough to handle being tipped, such as construction companies.

As the world moves towards reducing emissions as much as possible, there has been a surge in electric vehicles for businesses. They’re great for the environment, improve your business’s image and often have a great performance perfectly suited for a workplace. Here at Vanaways, we are proud to offer hundreds of electric vans to our customers, in a variety of makes, models and body types to suit you.

Two of the vans we have on offer, the Fiat E-Ducato Tipper and the Maxus E Deliver 9, are great vehicles for businesses to use. The Ducato is one of the most popular van types in the world, with a staggering number of options available to customers. In 2020, the E-Ducato hit the market, boasting excellent performance and a range of options. The Maxus Deliver 9 is a fairly new vehicle, only starting production in 2019. But in that time it has proved to be a popular model, with an electric version becoming available shortly afterwards.

This review compares some of the amazing features of both vehicles, so read on to find out more.

Engines and Spec

The key thing you expect from a tipper van is for it to have a great payload, perfect for carrying a large number of items if required. The Maxus E Deliver 9 is a great option if you’re looking for a high payload, capable of carrying an impressive payload of just under 1500kg. Along with the payload, the Maxus impresses with its powerful capabilities. There are three battery packs available (52, 72 and 89kWh) and with these, you can expect 310 Nm of torque and a maximum range of about 219 miles per charge on the largest battery option. Find out more about the performance in our full review.

The Fiat E-Ducato comes with either a 3-module 47kWh or a 5-module 79kWH battery. The smaller one has a maximum range of 146 miles, while the larger one has an impressive range of over 200 miles! The engine has a compact design, so you won’t notice a reduction in capacity due to the size and weight, which is an issue many electric vehicles suffer from.

You can make the most of the performance of the van with three driving modes. Normal is a great balance between performance and economy while slipping into Eco mode will help to increase the range of the vehicle. Finally, Power is best used for going uphill and when carrying a heavy load, which you will probably be doing if driving a tipper.

Interior

The interior of the e-Ducato is robust and practical, making it perfect for any business that needs it. It has two trim levels, with touchscreen infotainment systems of different sizes. The higher trim also includes extras such as satnav and Apple CarPlay. Find out more about the e-Ducato in our full review here.

The Maxus E Deliver 9 features a sleek and stylish interior, finished with black plastic and a chrome-effect display. The cabin is comfortable and easy to operate, with an infotainment touchscreen monitor that has great smartphone connectivity options. It also has great features equipped as standard, such as blind spot assist, automatic climate control, traffic sign recognition and much more.

"First class service, I must mention Adrian & Ash on an excellent deal & swift turn around under the short notice I had to buying a new van. Slight delay in the delivery of the van from manufacturers end but Adrian agreed to cover the cost of a hire van until my new van was delivered which allowed me to continue working. its the first time i've purchased a van without physically entering a dealership and i wouldn't hesitate to do it again."
