Dyrham Park

The country home is now owned by the national trust and is open to the public. Built in the 17th century upon the site of a much older manor house Dyrham park was originally designed for the Blathwayt family who were a prominent political powerhouse during the 17th and 18th centuries.

Leigh Woods and the Avon Gorge
After a breathtaking drive over the world-famous Clifton Suspension Bridge, you’ll find yourself in Leigh Woods. This beautifully maintained National Trust space is an amazing example of native English woodland. After a short walk through this enchanting forest, you’ll find yourself looking over the jaw-dropping Avon Gorge with views of towering limestone cliffs and the city of Bristol behind.
Ashton Court Estate
Set in the shadow of the city of Bristol Ashton Court Estate is a shining example of an English manor house. The estate gardens are beautifully maintained and host a large herd of Red Deer, England’s largest land mammal. Ashton Court manor house was built in the 11th century and has seen a variety of large expansions and modifications since then.
