Today we are looking at a van from the MAN family of vehicles, the MAN TGE. Founded in 1893, MAN Truck & Bus SE is a leading international provider of commercial vehicles, including vans, trucks, coaches and buses.
The MAN TGE is a light commercial vehicle that first saw production in the 2010s. Available in a range of body types, it proved a popular and reliable choice for customers. Engines and Spec
The MAN eTGE runs on a fully electric engine that provides zero emissions while you drive, as well as being quiet and reliable across distances. The diesel version of the MAN TGE features a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine. There is a variety of engine models available ranging from 102 to 177 horsepower, so you can find a van that suits your exact requirements in terms of this. There is a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, but also an option for an eight-speed, giving you this option if needed. The engine can provide plenty of torque and power, getting you where you need to go at suitable speeds.
Interior
The MAN TGE interior looks and feels great, prioritising a cabin that you can use as a mobile office. It is practical, comfortable and has plenty of storage for whatever you need during your day. This includes a dual passenger seat that can be folded down to operate as a desk.
In terms of payload, there is plenty of space for whatever you need. The permitted total weight of the panel van is up to 5.5 tonnes, with the amount varying depending on which model and body type you go with. As mentioned in our review of the MAN TGE, you can expect a great deal of safety features built in as standard. This includes electronic stability control, emergency braking technology and cross-wind assistance. There are also plenty of additional options you can add on if needed.
The MAN eTGE interior is quite similar to its diesel counterpart, with the major differences being the transmission and displays, which are adapted for the electric vehicle. It is a practical and comfortable cockpit, with a digital screen that will clearly show your speed, range and battery percentage. You can expect a slightly smaller payload in the electric van, due to the battery being heavier and taking up additional space compared to a diesel engine.
All MAN vehicles have an inbuilt navigation system built into a digital infotainment screen, so you can easily navigate and play music or podcasts. For additional comfort, you could upgrade to an steering wheel and heating seats
